Art & Design
It is an anthology about two sisters
What's your vision?
I would like for you to design cover art for my book. I’ve included six slides. The first slide, “sannikovatitle,” shows the Font of the title. The next four are pictures of human figures with a few elements of their surroundings in some cases. I am looking for a romance novel look. In the first of the four, “sannikova1” a woman is holding a metallic colored ball and ready to toss it upward, as if a tennis serve. There is no background to this picture. She is wearing leisure clothing, perhaps a sweater, the picture will crop of in a fade-out at her waist. (All pictures are numbered, the numbers or any writing will not appear on the cover.) The next picture, “sannikova2” is of a woman being sworn in at court. The person holding the bible is a male. In this picture there should be some background of a seated judge and witness box. All are in dress or official clothing. In next picture, “sannikova3” a woman is tied to a stake and a man is looking at her with a drip can in one hand. The woman is looking slightly upward. She is wearing a plain dress. The pyre is unlit, and made of dimensioned lumber and chunks of plywood panels. No other background is necessary, though the drawing should include more lumber on the right of the stake than the picture shows. In the next pictures, “sannikova4” a woman is dressed in a crudely woven grass tunic holding a stick. Some grassy ground may show. The head-body proportion is not accurate, but in the final version it should be, as it should for all the illustrations. The last slide, "sannikova5" shows the arrangement of pictures on the cover. They go numerically clockwise from upper left. The woman in drawing “sannikova1” is the same as in “sannikova3." The woman in “sannikova2” is the same as in “sannikova4.” They are sisters, so they should look similar but not identical. Both are white with fair skin and long brown hair. Jennifer Lawrence, the actress from “The Hunger Games” and “Silver Linings Playbook” is a good model for this. Other people in the drawings (including the judge, which I have not shown) should be male and white.
