The Debate Handbook: Winning With Parliamentary Debate
Ryan Pugh (to appear as R. H. Pugh on the cover itself)
Ryan Pugh placed 7th in the nation for Parliamentary Debate at the height of his competitive career. Among many other high placements, he finished 5th overall in the 32nd Annual Stanford Invitational and competed during the 2018 NPDL Tournament of Champions. Ryan would later go on to coach the Global Prep Academy Debate Team and has since led several students to national tournament competitions.
Competitive debate is far greater than just a back-and-forth exchange of arguments, it is an intricate chess game where a much larger picture exists. The Debate Handbook is a thorough analysis on Parliamentary Debate that attempts to illustrate that premise from the most basic strategies to advanced theory and meta. While written as a guide for even the most novice students, this handbook is a game changer for veteran debaters looking to expand and improve their debate repertoire. Designed with the needs of coaches in mind, this work is formatted as an easy-to-reference manual; a must have to give students a leg up in beating the competition. This informative guide features: A gradual progression from basic concepts to advanced strategy. How to debate and win within fact, value, and policy rounds. A plethora of example arguments, graphic illustrations, and several case studies. Effective strategies to use for each speech and speaker role. A dedicated list of 170 varsity sample resolutions. In depth analysis on concepts such as topicality debating, flowing methodology, stock issue format, inherency and solvency arguments, fiat, kritiks, permutations… And much much more!
Typically High-School aged students. Some college debaters may also read this. Debate coaches (teachers) would read this.

Other color requirements
I'd prefer a black primary color for the body of the book with red as a secondary color for the accents. However, im open to any color schemes you think would look best. Surprise me!
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
RyanHPugh collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
I highly recommend OneDesigns! I will use them again in the future. They understood my creative brief from the start...better and more deeply than the other designers. They were flexible and responsive to all my feedback. Set realistic expectations. They did not just deliver on my feedback but anticipated what else I might ask for. And, when put to a vote in my network, their concept won by a wide margin.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
