I have worked with Estella for three different projects now, and I keep coming back to her because her work is excellent, her customer service cannot be beat, and she is the BEST at what she does! I am already looking forward to our next project!
Svar was great to work with. He listened to my feedback and incorporated the changes we wanted to see. He was easy to communicate with and very responsive in incorporating suggestions.
Excellent work and communication
Once again I am delighted with the design work provided by Joko. The children's chapter book cover design is absolutely 'spot-on' with the brief. Joko's efficiency in making changes and even suggesting ideas himself, was key to meeting my deadline.

What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Book cover for my parody novel: To Kill A Mockingjay. I will be providing a rough mock-up (attached) of what I am looking for as well as some "inspiration" samples of the original book's cover. Similar to (but hopefully better than…) my mock-up, I want something stylish, but relatively minimalist. I definitely want the tree to have a cut in it and "A Parody" in the tree's knot hole. Also, there is symbolism in the trunk of the tree looking somewhat like a doric column (think of the towering, fluted columns in front of any government building or courthouse). If there is a way to make it a natural looking part of the tree, but also column-like that would be awesome. My other thought was to have the upper branches look tentacle-like (the octopus reach of government), but that might be too weird (a doric column-octopus lovechild…see what you can do) I really like the idea of the blindfolded Lady Justice with her scale missing and holding an ax instead of a sword. However, I am open to other interpretations.
I intend to publish it as both a paperback (via Createspace) and eBook (via Kindle Direct Publishing) and will need versions that meet their specifications. Designers already familiar with these would be preferred.
Also I will provide a document with the back cover text, which should be fully justified on the cover. I am open to different types of fonts and looks, however, I do want the writing to be large enough (no 8 pt font!) and bright enough (colors that contrast) to be easily read by anyone.
On the back I have an author's quote to use: "I loved the satire and tone. Like Vonnegut meets John Kennedy Toole." -Jarod Kintz, Author of This Book is Not for Sale (title in italics) Also, FYI, I will do the About the Author inside the book, not on the back cover.
