Exam Grade Booster
We sell revision guides and materials produced by students for students. Our target age range is 15-20. This particular product has been written by 10 successful students and aims to help other students maximise their exam grades. We seek to be a relatable voice for other aspiring students.
I need a cover designed for Createspace for the book entitled: The Rules of Revision.
The front cover should include:
The title: The Rules of Revision
The subtitle: Ten successful students help you achieve outstanding exam results
Author name: Liam Porritt
The spine should include:
The title: The Rules of Revision
Author name: Liam Porritt
The back cover must include (but may also include title, subtitle etc. if designer so wishes):
Blurb:
Some students just seem to absorb information, effortlessly gliding through revision and exams without the slightest difficulty. The rest of us find revision dull and unproductive.
However, surely the info-sponges aren’t superhuman? Surely there’s no such thing as a revision-friendly gene? So, do they know something that the rest of us don’t?
Yes - they know The Rules of Revision.
This guide reveals the secrets to both fruitful exam preparation and successful exam technique. It offers a set of rules that will ensure you maximise your potential by making your revision more focused and productive than it has ever been before.
Written by ten students at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, Liam and his team offer what no teacher can. Their proven knowledge of exactly how to succeed in both the revision process and the exam room makes this book a must-have for all students.
Logo & web address: http://www.examgradebooster.com + logo see images ~ I would like the logo to either be positioned centrally above or next to the web address on the back page somewhere.
IMPORTANT: I also include an image and PDF of the template size of the book for Createspace and note that the space for the bar code must be left the same colour as the background / whatever is there, but must not include important elements. Createspace insert the barcode over the space marked by the yellow rectangle - please do NOT put in a white rectangle there!!
In terms of the style, it should be contemporary and certainly not childish. It is a revision guide but it should not seem patronising. I like graphics rather than photographs.
I include an image in the documents (the people pushing boulders) that I thought could be a metaphoric representation of the what the guide does that could be used on the front cover. However, it certainly does not have to be - it is just an idea! I am keen to avoid it seeming like just another revision guide though, so please keep it fresh and sharp.
