Book cover for new e-book "A Game of Failure: the 1994-95 Major League Baseball Strike" by Ryan J. Eckert. Book traces the history of labor relations in professional baseball in the context of labor in professional sports and the labor environment of the United States generally leading up to the 1990's. It discusses the conflicts leading up to the strike in 1994, the strike's resolution, and the consequences of this decisive turning point in the relationship between the American people and their once-loved "national pastime."
