Samuel Konkol, age 16, is in the 10th grade and just a few years removed from the challenges middle school students face. Sam has developed a 10 step strategy to help middle school students realize a brighter future. The book injects humor, personal stories and is written in a language that middle school students can relate to. The 10 steps are practical, easy to understand and can immediately be implemented by a middle school student. Step 10 Apply Mastery Samuel’s primary target audience is: • Middle school students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Samuel is hopeful to speak to up to 30,000 middle school students at their middle school in the Orlando area in the next three years. At the end of his 45 minute presentation, Samuel will provide a free copy of his book and a free download of his book to each student present as a means to engage their parents in helping their child prepare for a brighter future. Samuel’s secondary target audience is: • Middle School Principals and Teachers to be able to speak to their middle school students. • College Admissions Officers and Professors of Cello at elite universities who award scholarships to musically talented and well-rounded students. This is a book of inspiration. Though the book will be primarily given free of charge it will also be made available for sale on Samuel’s website and major on-line retailers such as Amazon. The book will also be featured in print and referred to in magazine articles written about Samuel.

FEEL: Though the graphics on the cover need to appeal to a middle school student…they can’t be so juvenile-looking that College Admission Officers and Professors of Cello would view this manuscript as “corny.” Would like this book to have a clean, bright design with fresh, vibrant, bold colors. IMPORTANT: Design should look like it was produced by a National Publisher. 2 THINGS WE DON’T WANT: 1. Cartoonish looking design 2.
