If Jesus Was a Rapper
Cellus Hamilton is a 2x charting hip-hop artist who is passionate about storytelling, community activism, and The Bible. For the past 20+ years, he has used his music platform to be a catalyst for change in urban areas all across America.
If Jesus Was a Rapper uses my journey through life and the music industry to inspire creatives to live bold, unconventional lives of faith and trust while exposing the dangers of building a platform void of community impact. This book inspires people to balance both community and internet influence, recognizing that legacy leadership always invests in personal relationships. There is no societal impact without real-life investment.
While If Jesus Was a Rapper has something to offer many different demographics, the core audience is 20-35-year-olds who are urban, people of color, and creatives. This audience frequently engages with hip-hop culture and recognizes the importance of hip-hop being embraced and utilized effectively by Christians.
Book cover type
I want a cover that truly imagines Jesus as a rapper. (Without showing his face). Shoulders down only. Showing the things that identify Him as Jesus (nails in His hand, long jewish robe, brown-skin middle eastern/African descent, long hair). But also wearing the things that represent hiphop (jewelry, sneakers, a microphone in his nail pierced hands, jewelry on his wrist, diamond rings on fingers).
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Book cover starts at €269.

And then… they selected a winner!
I think this design is very eye-catchy and creative. It is a creative use of the "Westside" hand sign that is popularized because of hip-hop and I love how it keeps Jesus unseen yet distinguishable at the same time. The font stands out as well. It's an amazing design. Not only was it the first one I received but it was the best by far. Grateful for this work!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
