mariannu got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Are you making the book cover for reversible controversial sexual abuse book?

This book consists of 2 parts. In the first part, a 7-9 year old girl tells about her life in which abuse and maltreatment takes place. In the second part, her perpetrator tells about his life (the same days and events as the girl) and we get a glimpse into the thoughts of a pedophile. The book is inspired by true events.
The book is interesting for anyone who has an affinity with sexual abuse. Either through experience or through work as a therapist, or as an interested person.
Book cover type
Don’t know yet
My book actually consists of two separate parts that are interconnected. The book is called Upside Down and must therefore literally be able to be turned over to read the other part. Since there is no back page, I would like to flap with information about the content, the author, etc.
What to avoid
Take the subject as seriously (but not heavy, dark, negative) as it has been and has been described. It may be confronting, but it should not be a deterrent. And no (almost) 2 identical designs for both fronts.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
mariannu collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
