Author biography
Sarah Katharina Kayß ist promovierte Militärsoziologin. Nach Abschluss ihres Geschichtsstudiums am King’s College London, promovierte sie am War Studies Department und arbeitete als Historikerin in London. Zurück in Deutschland war sie Gastwissenschaftlerin bei der Bundeswehr und Dozentin an der Universität Potsdam. 2019 erhielt sie den renommierten ERGOMAS Book Award für ihr im Vorjahr in Großbritannien erschienenes Buch über die Berufsmotivation deutscher und britischer Offizieranwärter. Sie arbeitet als Strategieberaterin in Berlin. Ein Jahrzehnt lang verantwortete Kayß die Herausgeberschaft des internationalen, zweisprachigen Literaturmagazins The Transnational: Global. Cosmopolitan. Transnational. Seit ihrer Rückkehr aus London schreibt sie Romane unter Pseudonym. Ihre Fotografien zieren nationale und internationale Buch- und CD-Cover. Ihr letzter Gedichtband ist preisgekrönt. Ihre Kunstfotografien und Texte sind veröffentlicht in Deutschland, der Schweiz, Österreich, Großbritannien, Italien, Neuseeland, den USA und Kanada.
