What's your vision?
I need cover art for an upcoming book entitled "Amber Earns Her Ears". The book is a non-fiction account of the author's experience as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World in the Disney College Program. As part of that program, she worked in the parks and learned numerous facets of Disney's front-line organization, for example, doing counter service in park restaurants, selling merchandise in park stores, etc. The sub-title of the book is "My Secret Diary as a Cast Member at Walt Disney World". The author's name is "Amber Michelle Sewell". No other text besides title, sub-title, and author's name should be on the front cover. Just as Disney is a "happy place", this is a "happy book": please use cheerful but not overly childish colors and playful but simple fonts. I don't want to stifle creativity, but consider the inclusion of two elements: 1) A diary motif to play off the sub-title. Should the entire cover resemble that of a diary, maybe an old-fashioned (as in Fantasyland) diary with clasp and lock? Or maybe not! It's up to you. 2) Mouse ears to play off "Earns Her Ears". I don't think the mouse ears should overpower the cover art, but they ought to be in there somewhere. And by mouse ears, of course, I mean Mickey Mouse ears, the type found on the little hats sold in the parks. Like these: http://www.disneystore.com/accessories/ear-hats/disney-parks-authentic/mn/1000292+1000809/ The book will be 5.5" x 8.5" print; also need the front cover art sized correctly for a Kindle edition. I plan to be very active in commenting upon design submissions. I'm happy to answer all questions and provide any additional information you need. This is my first contest here, and I'm looking forward to it. Thanks!
