Trying to think of all the elements to incorporate into a company logo and watermark is quite the task. The first thing is to put into words the 'what' - my company, SymonSays, is a play on my last name and the classic children's game and is meant to be fun and educational. The agency is a storytelling company - blending traditional journalism with cutting-edge film and print content for brands.
As a storytelling agency, I want to impart a sense of creativity, classic style and old-world charm and humor. The closest brand I can find (not necessarily in terms of style, but feel is JibJab): http://focuslabllc.com/our-work/jibjab or Disney.
For consideration, I think a stylized version of my father's signature (file attached) would be cool - a watermark, perhaps a stylized "S". I would also like to incorporate a period at the end of SymonSays. In the 1800's it was tradition for newspapers (The New York Times ) to use a period after the logo or nameplate https://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/…plate.html
This is a tie back to journalistic excellence...
I am also open to completely different concepts too.
