iPhone photo app ScratchCam needs a new icon for re-launch

ScratchCam is an iPhone photo app that applies scratched and damaged film and grunge effects to users photos

ScratchCam for iPhone is being updated and we would like a new app icon to go with it. We would like the icon to take the 3d appearance of a camera, as seen in such apps as "Old Booth" and "Camera Genius". ScratchCam is all about adding scratched film, grunge and old effects to peoples iPhone photos so the icon needs to communicate this in some way, perhaps by texturising the camera to make it look grungey, or the camera itself being old and damaged. The original inspiration for the app came from the Tarantino/Rodriguez "Grindhouse" movies "Deathproof" and "Planet Terror" - if you take a look at either of those movies posters and trailers on IMDB you'll hopefully get an idea of the "look and feel" of the images ScratchCam is inspired by. Please see www.scratchcam.com/blog for examples of the kind of images our users are creating. Our current icon is a dark red and we would like to keep this incorporated in some way but it doesn't have to be the main colour. We are open to ideas in this respect.

The icon needs to look great from 57x57px up to 512x512px but we would like to receive it in at least 1024x1024px to future-proof for even higher resolution screens. For highly detailed designs that look great large, please keep in mind that these details may get lost and turn fuzzy when sized-down, so consider making a separate file intended for the lower resolutions. We would like to receive the work in a layered PSD file. We will be using the icon with NO gloss so please take this into account with your design. Apple require the icon files in a square format because they automatically apply the corner radius so please do not apply the rounded corners to the final file/s.
