We develop and sell software applications for the AEC sector (architects and engineers)
What's your vision?
We are looking for a set of 3 app icons for our new and innovative desktop applications. App 1 Connects two separated ends of routing elements (e.g. ducts or pipes) by inserting a fitting. The routing elements and the fitting must both have a horizontal direction, and need to be the same size. The routing elements should be on separate horizontal levels. We added a simple sketch to illustrate: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/b6n9am15svbfn0b/AABpxu_-VUg_dvgLgoUhqI9ha?dl=0 Design idea: Two long, cuboid (= 3D rectangular) shapes on separate axis. They are connect by a third cuboid shape that is visually highlighted. App 2 Resolves collisions between routing elements. Design idea: Two long 3D shapes that cross each other at 90°. One is cylindrical and one cuboid. One of goes above the other, but it is important that it only does so where they would otherwise collide. App 3 Places the same object many times, in a rectangular grid pattern. The area on which the pattern is applied, e.g. the ceiling of a room, may have any shape. Design idea: A grid of visually highlighted dots, inside a 2D shape with 4 sides (2 right angles, 2 noticeably non right-angles). The distance between all dots should be the same, the distance between the outmost dots and the surrounding shape should be a bit bigger. Please note that the design ideas above are only suggestions, feel free to be creative and try a different approach. Its your decision when to use 2D or 3D, or which colors to use. All icons must, however, follow a shared visual styling concept. Attached you can find our company logo as inspiration. The icons will be used as 32x32px buttons in the top ribbon tab bar shown in the attached screenshot (in a separate ribbon tab, but with the same background color), as well as in our marketing material. We want to be associated with: - Magic: Users do not need to understand the technical details to use our products; It just works - Modern: We enter the market with awesome state-of-the-art software - Minimalistic: Our products feel simple, even if the underlying technical concepts are complex The icons should work down to 16x16px, but the most important size is 32x32px. Please provide the icon source files, and as SVG as well as PNG exports.
