Bas Bakker got their new infographic by running a design contest:
Create an infographic for our proces

Story to tell in the infographic
Your goal is to make an infographic which represents our proces with clients. This process can be divided in the two sections: 1) Visual exploring (workshop, strategy sessions, etc) 2) Visual communication (animation, graphic recording, visuals, etc) Goal of the infographic Primary goal: Communicate our whole visual process to our clients, with a infographic flyer. Why? Because our clients don't have a complete overview of what we can do and deliver. Secondary goal: We need to show clients that we can make infographics as well. Target Audience Our target audience are the big companies in the Netherlands. We already work for a lot of these companies, so we need something to show them and which we can hand over. The persons in the company we talk to are mostly Communication managers or Transitions managers.
Data to include in the infographic
1. Header: Introduction of what we do and why 2. The proces of our services (phase 1 and phase 2) 3. All different products & services mentioned in the text file
Elements to include in the infographic
The infographic is a kind of road map or subway map with different stations. See the visual example enclosed. The infographic is divided into 4 sections: 1) Header: Something about the problem we solve 2) Visual exploring: Workshop products 3) Visual communication: Products & services 4) Footer: How to contact us. Because our clients are Dutch, the text will be in Dutch. It's ok if you don't understand it. But make sure we can adjust the text in photoshop or illustrator to make corrections.
Style & Branding guidelines We have a couple of style guidelines for this infographic. You can see our brand at http://www.debetekenaar.nl Colors: Green: #44B494 Pink: #C23C8E Blue: #3399CC Font: Headings → Signika http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/signika Footer: The footer on the website represents the 'earth' we all live on. This should also be in the infographic. Examples To sparkle your inspiration, we have added some example infographics which we like and the ones we don't like. We like these four infographics 1. Clear and good overview: http://www.prnewsonline.com/Assets/Image/BlackBerry%20SMB%20Infographic.jpg 2. A nice combination between digital and drawn style: https://www.viralheat.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/1-why-infographics.jpg 3. Good concept with a road (we don't want a road) http://assets.inhabitat.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/2012/12/road-of-the-future-infographic-2.jpg 4. Extra: Creative: http://pre.cloudfront.goodinc.com/posts/1328826235launch_infographic_template.jpg We DON'T like these infographics 1. To busy and crowded: http://inspiredm.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Infographic-of-infographics.jpg 2. To detailed: http://www.perceptualedge.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/xplane-infographic.jpg 3. Overwhelming and to simple: http://therealasset.co.uk/bitcoin-infographic/ What about the infographic style? We very much like this style of xplane. This is what we like, but it's up to you to make your own mark and let us like your style even more. http://xblog.xplane.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/042114_2.jpg http://xblog.xplane.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/culture-poster.jpg Values for the infographic Simple and easy to understand. Easy for the eye. Clear Attractive. Road map. Text We enclosed a file with the text for the infographic. The text is Dutch, so it will be hard to read. Make sure we can adjust the text in photoshop / illustrator to make corrections. Images We also made little illustrations for the 'products/services' on the infographics. This will give you and idea what they are. We give you the freedom to change them. Format The size of the infographic needs to be A4. We will use it for print and digital documents.
