D Solution was "first out of the gate", in providing some of the original direction that I could ponder, and that other designers could build from.
I was a bit clueless on design, and on precisely what I'd wanted, such that some of my original suggestions weren't really very good. D Solution was relentless in helping me eventually figure out what I'd wanted. At some point, I'd realized that I just needed a "wide net of ideas" to choose from. D Solution had made so many different ideas... I'd say more than 12 *fundamentally different* designs, and several flavors of each of those.
In the end, D Solution helped me to create a design with a beautiful logo that was miraculously both "warm and friendly" while appearing technical.
Aside from great design skills, D Solution was a pleasure to work with. He kept providing more and more ideas, while I kept saying, "that's great, do you have even more?" He always happily provided more.
- Sashka Hill
Sashka understood the concept, made numerous modifications and was always communicative during the process. I'd definitely use her again for future work.
- Jack Vaughan
Best designer I have worked with on 99 Designs. High quality work and very responsive to ideas and requests. Everything done on time as well.
How erik A7 started their logo & business card journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We're starting an unisex hair salon/barber shop based in a small town in Sweden. We will also sell both new furnishing and refurbished furnishing.
The salon interior design could be described as "old smokey English library" and "industrial" but still with a luxurious image. This, translated to colors, could be dark wood, metal, rust, copper, brass, cognac - you get the point...
The name "struktur" is swedish for "structure". It should not be interpreted as being structured but rather hair-/wall-/furniture-structure.
Our target audience is women and men in age 25-50.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Cosmetics & Beauty
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
The logo will later be printed to gift cards, paper bags, salon signage, advertisements.
Please see the attached mood board for better understanding of the feeling we want.
We prefer a logo with both a symbol and the name (struktur) but where the symbol could be used on its own.
