Founded in 1998, The Beijing Center is a Jesuit center of higher education in Mainland China committed to fostering mutual understanding between China and other cultures through cultural exchange, education and research. What makes us unique is our placement in a long and storied tradition of Jesuit education, one that teaches us that true cultural engagement starts first with friendship.
The Beijing Center provides research opportunities and immersive, educational exchange programs to provide as many people as possible with a rich and deep experience of China and its cultures. We are a US-registered 501c3 non-profit.
Our target audience includes all people, but mostly students and scholars, interested in discovering, engaging and dialoguing with China. However, this special 20th anniversary logo design will also be shown off to our higher-education administrators, the Jesuit community, and our wonderful TBC alumni.
We develop, promote, manage and operate programs for students of educational institutions to study in China; We sponsor educational programs for faculty and administration of educational institutions; We educate the international academic community about China; We conduct research regarding Chinese culture and history.
