The new and improved version you create should not look like a major change. It should be more of a refresh. But I do want it to look more aggressive, more masculine and more inspiring. It looks a little like an 8th grade art project at the moment.
Since the school has an existing color scheme and overall design scheme, we can't make major changes. The color should stay the same, and the basic posture of the bull should stay the same (tail raised, horns lowered and at an angle, etc.).
A good example of the modest but meaningful changes I have in mind is the refresh made a couple of years ago to the NFL's Carolina Panthers logo. That logo was redesigned only modestly, but it now looks more three-dimensional and lifelike, and much more aggressive. I've included the Panthers before and after images below, along with the current Leman logo.
The attached Leman logo is shown on basketball T shirt. To be clear, the final design should just be the "bull" only, it should not include any wording.
I've also included three examples of bull drawings that I like that are simple two color designs, but which have a strong, aggressive look that I like. These are called Aggressive Example 1, 2 and 3.
When we agree on the final logo design, I would love to see it mocked up on a T shirt design that says "Property Of" at the top, with the bull logo in the center, and "Leman Manhattan Preparatory School" on the bottom - this should look something like the "T Shirt Example" file I've attached. Please note that there is an accent over the "e" in Leman, as you can see in the Leman website, and in the attached Leman artwork. Please make sure to include that accent over the the mockup. Finally, please include an oversized "e" with the accent on the back of the t shirt mockup, to look similar to the "E on the back example" file.
