Build a Better Book
We collaborate with youth in library Makerspaces to design and fabricate interactive picture books and graphics that incorporate tactile and audio elements for children who are blind or visually impaired. Through our program, youth develop technology skills (e.g., in inclusive user-centered design, 3D modeling and printing, programming, circuitry and sound design, etc.) and awareness of STEM career opportunities, while creating unique, accessible books and games for children with different abilities. Our target audience is tweens and teens, but we also work with librarians and the general public, so we'd like a logo that is fun and inviting for youth, but not childish. current color palette (hex #s):
blue: light- 47D3F4, dark-007AA5
green: light-B9EA0A, dark-47AB2B
yellow: FFC708
plus coordinating orange
We would prefer a colorful but relatively simple logo - one that is not overly cluttered. We'd especially like to highlight our project's connection between engineering and "making" (STEM, tools, design, etc.) and literacy/books. We'd like a logo that complements our current branding style (shown in attached doc).
