Design a modern, professional logo for the University of California in San Francisco

Center for Business Law @ UC Hastings

The organization is a research institute contained within the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (UC Hastings), a top-ranked law school in San Francisco (http://www.uchastings.edu). It is a research institute for research in Business Law that will have the same relationship to the UC Hastings website as this website (https://lowellmilkeninstitute.law.ucla.edu/) has to the UCLA Law website. I will commission work on a website after this, and I am open to working with the winning logo designer on that bigger design project as well.

It is okay if the logo contains any one of the following messages:

"Center for Business Law @ UC Hastings"
"Center for Business Law @ University of California Hastings"
"Center for Business Law @ University of California Hastings College of the Law"

The logo should look professional, but it should be very modern, befitting a law school based in the heart of Silicon Valley.

I am open to new designs and designs that incorporate one of our existing logos (see the zip file below). For example, any of the following could be interesting:
- A modern, updated version of the classic UC Hastings emblem
- A simple geometric logo
- A monogram logo with modern fonts.

This logo is for a sub-webpage of a new website for UC Hastings (http://www.uchastings.edu). Here are the details of the new site:

The main colors for the site will be black, white and that darker blue #1c3483. The leading accent color will be the lighter blue #0175da. Paginini Bold will be Headline 1 - 3; with Roboto Bold being the font for Headline 4-6. Roboto regular for the remaining paragraph font.

I'm attaching our latest "logos" file of high resolution graphics that is being used in the context of a broader redesign of our website. Feel free to propose designs that incorporate our UC Hastings logo, or are "riffs" on it.
