abhi.nemani got their new logo design by running a design contest:
GovTech Technology Academy
Check out abhi.nemani's Logo design contest…
"A Khan Academy for GovTech" We need to change the way we recruit, train, and encourage government employees to leverage technology for the public good. Throughout my career I’ve played various roles to address this challenge: running Code for America, building technology and innovation teams in government, empowering government technology startups, and teaching new recruits. All that done, however, I have come to realize that these approaches merely scratch the surface. We need something that scales, something that accessible to technical and non-technical people, and something that gives participants both a sense of community and a sense of accomplishment. (Both will have dramatic impact on their careers.) Designed for mid-career or early-career professionals in the government or civic/urban technology industry, the Academy will provide trainings on practical technologies like Excel and AirTable and guidance on cutting-edge practices like lean, agile, human centered design, and growth hacking. It’s been said, “In the 21st Century, good governance and good policy are irrevocably linked to good technology.” By building an Academy that helps our public officials better use technology, we can drive towards a fundamentally better government: one that is more efficient, more effective, and — crucially — more responsive to its constituents in the digital era. The name is a work in progress; it'll either be "Government Technology Academy," or "GovTech Academy.” Feel free to use either.
I’m interested in emblem logos. You can see some of style and looks I like at these sites: https://govgeek.club https://www.meetup.com/Midwest-GovTech-Meetup/ https://abhinemani.com/RAILS/ You can learn more about the project here and you can see the website this logo will eventually end up on here: http://civicinnovation.academy Think Ivy League emblem / crest but more modern and with subtle hints at technology and government
