How Dr. Marcy started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Parenting for Peace
What’s your company slogan?
[I'M RETHINKING THIS -- I'm now leaning toward keeping it clean & simple & uncluttered... and NOT including the slogan! I don't think it adds enough to justify complicating the logo.] In Your Heart, Home and World
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I help progressive, conscious parents worldwide shift from overwhelmed & stressed, into calm, confident & (mostly) joyful. Because if we REALLY want to change the world, we need to raise citizens who are "built for peace," from the very beginning!
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Logo types to explore
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
A unique aspect of my approach that isn't covered in the slogan is that it begins at the very beginning--in the womb! If that is conveyable in the logo it would be cool.
Unless used in a unique, perhaps abstract, way I prefer to avoid something as "on the nose" as doves & olive branches to symbolize peace.
The closest thing I have had to a logo is (attached) a spiral w/ a colored center -- symbolizing that (ideally) Parenting for Peace begins with conceiving with mindfulness, and then the spiral of human development unfolding (unevenly... hand-drawn) outward from there. This merely gives you a sense of my philosophical aesthetic -- not necessarily looking for something like this!
I'm also attaching my book that came out in 2012. This cover was not my design, though I think it was quite effective. If my logo were to feel harmonious with it... in color or feel... I suppose that would be a bonus, but it is NOT a requirement!
