Raja Media publishes books for kids and teens, age 8 - 18. Our debut title is a memoir about growing up in the middle of a divorce custody battle. Future books will help kids & teens navigate the insanity of the real world, see through the B.S. peddled by grownups, overcome any obstacle, and achieve their dreams.
My one idea for an image is a black lightning bolt, open to other ideas. It doesn't have to be that image.
Raja is derived from the Sanskrit for king, but it refers not to the king's ego, but the idea that those who come to see him gain wisdom through the audience with the king. Those who have an audience with our books will gain wisdom.
The company is American, so there is no need to incorporate any hint of an Indian reference.
Suggest you review as many book publishing company logos as possible, especially those who target kids/teens, to see what else is out there. However, don't allow yourself to sucked into imitating any of them. This should feel hip, fresh, different, better... revolutionary!
Raja Media may publish films, or other kinds of works than books, thus, 'Media' instead of publishing. But books are the main focus/starting point.
Youngling Empowerment is about the empowerment of kids, but it's also a subtle reference to Star Wars Episode III, in which crazy Anakin slaughters younglings. What if those younglings had been empowered? Could they have found a way to survive?

Grove Press publishes some of the most empowering books for adults. I like this image, which seems to be an Anvil and implies 'this book will forge your mind.' It's my favorite publishing logo out there. That said, we can do MUCH better
This is just an example of a great logo for a Computer Company. But it has NOTHING to do with this project.
This logo is great but it has NOTHING to do with this project. Just a logo I like.
I like the Amazon logo although it has NOTHING to do with this contest.
I chose Education as "primary industry" but really this is an intersection of Publishing, Multimedia, and Education.
I didn't bother looking through the default designs and picking any favorites as I want you to feel you have a open space to be creative.
