bcstrey got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo design for a dog collar business that benefits conservation.

Animal & Pet
We design and sell dog collars which are designed for the conservation-minded consumer.
Think about using colors from nature in the design. Greens, blues, etc. I prefer a more stacked, block style than a horizontal logo as it is easier to use in advertisements, etc. than a horizontal logo. Designs for Collars for Conservation include designs of endangered species, landscapes, wildlife, animal tracks, etc. Have fun as this is a fun business for a great cause. A percentage of proceeds is available for grants to conservation nonprofits. In designing the logo realize that it will be used in small sizes so the details need to be distinguishable as a large graphic on a website and also as a logo incorporated in a small online banner advertisement. If you choose to use the image of a dog it needs to be a Labrador, golden retriever or setter. I have attached an image of a setter. Design ideas that you can call ugly: • The company in a script style with the script looking like it is comprised of a dog collar with buckles, etc. • Logo could also be simple with background of various wildlife, trees, water, landscapes, as a montage that the name is knocked out of. * looking forward to your better ideas • Logo could be 3d image of a dog with conservation, landscape and wildlife images incorporated in the body of the dog.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
bcstrey collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Lost&Found was the perfect designer for us! Immediately from the start of the contest L&F captured exactly what we were looking for. Although we waited for other designers to submit their designs, L&F's were always at the top. Finally when it came to the final round, we only chose L&F as there was no need to create a competition. Our logo only needed one small tweak to be perfect! Would HIGHLY recommend this designer! L&F wants it to be perfect and will offer many variations without being asked. Was such a positive experience for us being newbies to 99Designs. Do not hesitate to work with this designer - you won't be sorry!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
