cgilberg got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Logo for Football-Themed Party
Check out cgilberg's Logo design contest…
Looking for a logo to be created for my son's bar mitzvah. We currently have one but it cannot be used to create custom postage (via zazzle.com or stamps.com) because the word "Super Bowl" is copyrighted by the NFL. The party will be a NY Giants theme but the color scheme is brown and hunter/olive green -- football colors.
What's your vision?
Logo should represent the Giants theme but de-emphasize the blue and red colors. The color scheme of the invitations and event are chocolate brown and hunter/olive green. At the party, each table name will be a different Giants player and the centerpieces will include that giants player "in action" along with a cluster of brown, green and gold balloons. We are calling the event: Ari's Giant Party -- a play on words with "Giant". We want to use the logo to create custom stamps for the invitations. However the current logo was rejected due to copyright issues. The logo we can't use has "Super Bowl XIII" as part of the logo and apparently the word "super bowl" is copyrighted by the NFL. The date of the party is August 30-31 2008 and can be incorporated into the logo. This is our current logo: http://www.happyhourspro.com/data/client/1/library/arinewlogo.jpg
- Ari's Giant Party or something similar (if you can come up with an alternate tagline, that's fine!) - August 30-31 2008 - chocolate brown and olive/hunter green - football imagery -- can be abstract - illustrations ok - sophisticated style - must own copyright
- do not want it to look juvenille
