We want to encourage designers to as creative as possible with regard to the look as our name is about a positive emotion rather than a distinct object or landscape.
Our name "Smelljoy" really describes the experience customers get when they use our products, so we would like the name to be at least semi-central to the logo and easily readable and/or recognizable with possible color and font change for "Smell" and "joy" even though its all one word.
Thinking of similar product type logos like Dove, Old Spice, Speed Stick, and Axe, we would like our logo to be more fun with more color and style yet still keep a fairly clean look. With or without other artistic aspects like abstract shapes or a crooked happy face somehow incorporated.
While our logo focus is not on the all natural aspect of our products, if there is a way to accentuate the logo in a way that suggests natural without the classic big green leaf in there that could be a bonus. This is not a must.
The logo will be going on our website, product labels (think soap wrappers and lotion containers, shampoo bottles eventually etc.), and marketing materials.
We would like to avoid the use of pink so as to avoid any customer preconceptions. We want men to be comfortable ordering or picking it up off the shelf as well as women.
We aren't including any images because we cant wait to see how many different ways the word Smelljoy can be turned into a great looking logo without too many visual preconceptions of what we want.
