Industry: Bridal and Wedding stationary/Invitations Target Market: Predominantly women (brides) age range from 23-55. I would like it to appeal to men as well. Overall feel: Classic, Elegant, with a hint of modern (perfectly balanced) Style: eclectic, art nouveau. I love when text interacts with the symbol/artwork. My company specializes in wedding and special events invitations. A lot of the invitations are aimed at a higher end clientele but at an affordable price. Old-world charm and gentility as an affordable luxury. For the start we will be offering flat printing but all paper colors, fonts, and graphic colors will be customizable by the client. The designs range from a classic vintage look to more modern and eclectic combinations. There will be some novelty pieces as well such as an invitation in the form of a newspaper, a boarding pass and luggage tag with passport for destination weddings. It's definitely a unique invitation company that keeps to the beauty of tradition and classical elegance with a contemporary twist. At least this is what I wish it to represent and embody. I want each invitation to feel like a piece of fine art, and so far this is the exact comment I get when people view them. All invitations are hand-crafted. Also, another category of invitations we will offer are fine art history painting prints (on one side the print and on the other side an invitation) these will be placed into a double-sided float glass frame ( transparent frame from both sides) so that the invitation becomes a keepsake that can be utilized as a decorative momento by the guests who receive it. We think outside the box and want to offer something that is not quite on the market yet. In the future we want to introduce letterpress printing as well. So we thought that maybe the logo can have a letterpress effect ( that beautiful indented texture). The idea of the white dove came because not only has it been my totem, but its been a lucky charm and has kind of appeared as a sign every time I lost hope with this business. Christianity doesn't have much to do with this but I know that weddings are associated with the dove. For me, the dove is more of the homing pigeon/bird that brings messages (invitations) to loved ones. So there are many symbolic meanings for the bird that work well for our company. Even the white dove feather as a writing quill (the idea of hand-made, vintage or traditional, old world European charm) works.
