How tjones V started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Blue Heron Racing
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Blue Heron is a high end Design/Build Architecture, Interior Design and Construction Company. http://www.blueheron.com Blue Heron Racing will be the logo/brand for our Superbike Racing team - Superbikes are the really fast ones where the riders lean them over and drag their knees on the ground in corners - top speed over 200 mph. This logo/brand needs to be an offshoot of the Blue Heron current brands with a much more energetic and aggressive feeling for the racing component.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty.
Reds: Energy, action, passion and love.
Oranges: Creativity, adventure and happiness.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
As you can see from the uploaded files, Blue Heron has a variety of sub-companies that fall under the company umbrella. This racing logo should relate to these other logos but it can be more bold and obnoxious and it can also be more fun and less refined and sophisticated than the "normal" Blue Heron Logos. Looking for creative ways to tie the Blue Heron name and the abstracted "BH" form from the logo into something that is a little different but related. DO NOT keep the same font from the original Blue Heron Logo. It is way too understated and petite. The font needs to have energy and movement. It could be cool to look at abstracting the shape of the logo form to be a little different for the Blue Heron Racing logo. The logo shape could also have a different relationship to the words - maybe it isn't centered and to the left of the text like the other logos?? I think we want to stick to blue's for obvious reasons and add bright red (maybe a orangy red) to add intensity for the racing component.... My race number is #491 which does not necessarily need to be a part of the logo but it could be a cool element that might make the design more interesting. Including the number in the design is optional - it may or may not work well... BTW - whoever wins will probably be asked to design the motorcycle paint job and the leather suit for the rider. http://www.blueheron.com. Good luck!
