Stray Cat Relief Fund
Animal & Pet
Stray Cat Relief Fund (SCRF for short, pronounces SCARF) is a 501(c)3 that provides food, shelter, and medical attention for abandoned cats in Philadelphia. It also provides compassionate and humane population control efforts, and places adoptable cats into is foster care network.
Hi! As you can see, the current design is low quality. We want to keep the concept of a cat wearing a scarf, so that we can play-on calling the organization "SCARF" for short. We are not married to the current color scheme. This is a nonprofit geared towards emanating feelings of compassion, hope, love, safety, rescue, etc. With a bit of playfulness since animals are playful and fun. Black and red do not really create those feelings. The goal is to stand out and not blend into the low quality design that can encompass the nonprofit world. For an example of a brand in the same space that has done a great job with their branding and scaling, you can check out: http://www.bestfriends.org/ I would like the design to have both modern and classic feels, not too abstract, but not boring either. Professional, but attractive. The goal is to build a brand that is a force for animals, not stay small and local. Please let me know if there is anything you would like to clarify before beginning the design process.

And then… they selected a winner!
Nailed the design right away. Happy to rework and tweak and answer silly technical questions. Unfailingly available and polite and super prompt. A pleasure.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
