Mfashion got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Need a professional looking, luxe and edgy logo for PursePage.com
Check out Mfashion's Logo design contest…
We need a new logo that's on par with Vogue, Elle, and high end department stores. It needs to look Very Professional. The key words are sophsticated, luxe, edgy, expensive looking and feeling, very fabulous. Our readers are cosmopolitan women. I want something that makes them say WOW. And I want to say WOW, thats a KILLER logo. It should look professionally done. If it looks amateurish then I cant use it.
What's your vision?
Desired Color Scheme: No pink please! Theres a reason I can't use pink. And avoid lilac, but colors needs to work with occasional pink banners. Im very open to color combinations that look sophisticated. Desired Style: On par with Vogue and Elle, and high end department stores, but with the edginess of PerezHilton if possible. The style should be Luxe, high end, expensive looking and feeling, new york city street smart woman. Accepted File Formats: .pdf, .gif, .jpg Hello We need a Killer new logo for our site here http://www.pursepage.com. I hate our current logo and want a new logo that's amazing and will bury it. I want something that says PROFESSIONAL and "We know what we're talking about." Style and lettering: Overall it needs to be very sopsticated. I want to look like a professional and successful women's magazine. Where smart and wealthy women would shop. Where Oprah would shop. Where celebrity women would shop. They wouldnt go to a place where the look was cartooney and made for young girls. They'd go to a place thats expensive, edgy, sopsticated, etc. I would like something that is recognizable, like the logo for YouTube. Feel free to play around with ideas and textures. For example like a zipper opening, or having the logo on a hanging leather tag. A patent or croc texture in the logo. Im open. The words should be easy to read. Please do not do a cursive vivaldi-font thats hard to read. I'd rather have a hot logo done in an easier to read font, than a logo you cant read in a vivaldi-type font. Its ok if the font has a little style, but the words Purse Page should be BAM in your face and easy to read. We Want: - Sophsticated - EDGY - Loads quickly - Expensive looking - Fabulous - Somewhat feminine - Hot to death ;) We dont want - Cartoony - Too cutsey girly (Hearts, swirls, flowers) - Cursive letters. The words in the logo should be easy to read The women who read our site will also visit Vogue, Tiffanys, Elle, Mac cosmetics, Louis Vuitton, Coach, Nordstroms, TheKnot, IVillage, Glam.com. So we need something thats on par with the level of those places. Colors: Here is a big challenge. We cant do pink or lilac, however some of the banner ads I serve have pink borders in them. So I need a color that will be flattering with pink ads. Without being pink myself. Im very open to colors that look sophisticated. Blues, reds with silvers, etc. Im open and color is easily fixed. Other things: A very minor consideration, I would like a purse in the logo only if it looks good. If not, then leave it out. IF you ARE going to use a bag in your logo, then the bag needs to look very expensive, not a cheap $20 bag at Target. Try looking at a Hermes Birkin bag or a high end Louis Vuitton for inspiration and see what I mean. See the logo we have now on PursePage.com, see how I want the bag to look expensive? I want the word "The" in a small font in front of "Purse Page", as an accent. I want people to start saying "The Purse Page", but I feel the "The" should be smaller than the other letters. Please put the words all horizontal and not verticle. Yes: The Purse Page NO: The Purse Page Logos I love: YouTube, Cricket Phones, Vogue Magazine's logo, PerezHilton.com (LOVE Perez's logo), Mac cosmetics.
