About us
I'm developing a website where users can host their own NFL survivor pools. A survivor pool is a contest that runs during the NFL season. Each member of the pool chooses one NFL team each week. If the team they select wins that week, they survive and remain in the pool until the next week. If their team looses, they are eliminated from the pool. Participants can only select one team each week and can not choose the same team twice. The goal is to be the last member of the pool remaining. The name of the website is My Survivor Pool (mysurvivorpool.com). The website’s goal is to facilitate the management and execution of a NFL survivor pool. The site has two primary user roles; hosts and participants. Hosts start pools and invite friends and family to participate. Participants use the website to submit their team picks each week and to track their progress in the pool throughout the season. Users can both host and participate in any number of survivor pools. The target audience are sports fans, particularly NFL football fans, who would participate in pool/square/bracket-based contests, fantasy football, and/or sports gambling. The website is for entertainment purposes only, there are no prizes awarded by the website to any users, however the site's general theme and feel has definite overlap with sites like FanDuel and DraftKings.

I’m open to all creative ideas. I don’t have any strict requirements. I will just say that, in developing the website, I’m drawing inspiration from sites like FanDuel and DraftKings. The site’s primary theme is competition; the goal is to win your survivor pool. For me personally, icons like trophies, medals, banners, badges, shields, and stars come to mind. These are not requirements, just some common elements associated with the overall feel. UPDATE: After seeing some initial concepts, I'm envisioning a trophy icon/illustration as a primary element.
