Very good designing talent and a great willingness to work with client needs.
- Simply Hues Graphic Design
Great to work with - I'm very happy with the outcome of this project.
So quick to respond to messages and so good at interpreting my vision and translating it into exactly what I wanted. Offered so many great options and displayed them on realistic mock ups of what my website would look like, tags and bags so that I could get a true sense of what the logo would look like. Made the process so easy for me.
Good job. Thank you !

Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We will be a unisex, cutting edge hair salon in an edgy, up and coming neighborhood in the city of Baltimore, Maryland that is redeveloping fast. We will want to be appealing to a clientele of mostly young artists, professionals, and young families living in their first homes as well as people who are rooted in the neighborhood and are eagerly anticipating it's redevelopment and excited about the new businesses coming in.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Cosmetics & Beauty
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors:
Yellows: Energy, intellect, fun and youth.
Light neutrals: Purity, balance and sophistication.
Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
Hi again! I am still actively watching for something that speaks to us and catches our attention! The best advice I can give at this point is to disregard all of the design examples that we originally picked in our brief because of some thought changes. We have sort of reevaluated the direction we would like to take and though we are not quite sure what that should be, just be creative as possible but still keep the look modern but playful and the same colors, (yellow and gray over black or white). Please look at some of the new pictures I uploaded to the brief for examples!
We chose the name "fringe" because primarily it is the British term for what American's call bangs and we had toyed with the idea of a sort of logo with a simple image of the tips of someone's bangs lightly touching the tops of a set of eyes, but we are not set on whether we want an actual picture image or not.
We would like our name to be in all lowercase type with "fringe" being the primary part of the name and "baltimore" being in a smaller type, different font, translucent or something of the sort. We will also be using the same "finge baltimore" logo on everything from our website, to our storefront. So it must be compatible and easy to incorporate as a painted sign as that is what we intend to do with the logo.
The images of the name and business card are just references of what we came up with ourselves, but we think a designer could come up with something better!
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the logo and hosted website?
I just uploaded some new pictures to give a better understanding of a logo we are looking for!
We like designs that are modern but colorful, and fun but also sophisticated and should appeal to both men and women. Our primary color scheme is grey and white with yellow and light teal accents. We may want to incorporate space for some pictures of our clients and hairstyles that we have done.
We will be a Paul Mitchell brand focus salon so we will be allowed by their company to use any of their marketing images that they provide for their stylists to download on their website, including images of models as long as the images or the models are not expired. Any model's image that is currently shown on their website is a safe bet that it is not expired. Images of products and brand names do not expire, only models, as per their website.
They update monthly and sometimes bi-monthly with promotions and what products or services will be showcased that season.
Jimdo templates to explore
We would like the homepage to feature a small bio about our salon and concept (that we are Paul Mitchell focus salon located in the Remington neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland and we specialize in both men's and women's haircuts, color, ext.
A page of our services. We will also at some point have a nail technician, an esthetician and a massage therapist a few days a week which me may want to list on our website as well. Perhaps a picture of a model (could be one of our clients if we find someone), and any promotions that we will be offering on services or Paul Mitchell products and a link to our appointment booking software or the software may be linked into the webpage itself. (we still need to sign up for one) Also our hours of operation, which we are still deciding, and our contact info.
We will be displaying local art on our walls and would like to host a monthly or bi-monthly party showcasing the artist's work and give our clients a chance to meet the artist and hopefully sell some of their work! So a page briefly highlighting our featured artist, their work that we have, and when the party event will be and a sign up list.
A bio page about the owners and introducing our stylist's and staff, a little about themselves and their background in the industry.
