There will be Three Views in the CANnect Application:
Page 1: FOB View -- FOB view essentially mimics the functionality of the users keyless fob that they use to wirelessly unlock and lock the vehicle. Each function (Lock, Unlock, Remote Start, Trunk Release, Aux 1, and Aux 2) will have four states: OFF (not pressed), Pressed, Success (After the a user presses the button this will be feedback to the user that their request was successful), and Failed. I imagine these four states to be variations in color of the OFF state.
******* In the rendering I did on the Attached Word file, this view has Triangles for buttons, this is NOT a requirement. Please do what ever you want to make this interface exciting. Look at the competitive section of the Word document and you'll see that there is a lot of similarity between apps, I think the winning design should make an attempt to differentiate our look from others. ***********
Page 2: Car Info View -- This allows users to see data from the vehicle like, Engine Speed, Wheel Speed, Vehicle Speed, Interior Temperature, Engine Temp, Current Gear Selected. Essentially its a list of Parameter Names, The Parameter Values, and the Parameter Units (Such as Degrees Fahrenheit, Celsius, RPM, etc.)
Page 3: Car Control View -- This is similar in idea to the FOB view, this has a list of icons (there are a lot of standard icons for these functions) that when pressed will perform a specific function such as Blower Fan Increase, Blower Fan Decrease, Temperature Up, Temperature Down, Heated Seats, Radio Volume Up, Volume Down, Volume Mute, Radio Pre-Set Next, Pre-Set Previous, Skip.
The Three Views will be selectable via three buttons along the bottom (or top). There should be some way to indicated that a view has been selected.
