Games & Recreational
Wordflu is a turn-based multiplayer word game, but unlike most multiplayer word games this combines Tetris, a sliding effect and some accelerometer controls: - Blocks represent letters - Letters that make up words turn colour - Words that are touching each other turn the same colour are called a colour group - Blocks fall and you control where the block falls by two mechanics - Accelerometer left and right- Swiping left and right - for people dont want to tilt their phone - You tap a color word to move it to the game menu - Then you choose 3 word that you have formed to score with - Bonuses are given if you score two words from the same coloured group - then you submit your 3 words and then the other player takes their turn
Attached is a test-image.png for a sample of what I am looking for only without the slots I am going for a futuristic looking UI crossed with old-time alphabet blocks, something Clean and simple but playful
Wordflu - A Mobile Word Game For Renegadecitizen Games Co.
There are 3 screens: Main Menu, Score Card and Game board Feel free to tweak with the included layouts (it's just to give you some guidance) the main menu is where there is a list of games where you are "Accept" new games games with their turn "waiting…" "play" your turn at the bottom there is a history button to see past games at the top is an area for an advertising banner (behind the ad, should still be an interesting design incase theres no ad to display) Just bellow the add are 3 buttons "?" for help "+" for moe games a gear for settings the Score Card is where you pick your words to score and the game board is where blocks fall in stacks to make up words and coloured groups ****Update**** The game board is a 6x8 grid each block is 75x75px the game board should be at 640×960px so it can run on both iPhone 4 and 5 screen sizes, so make the main menu and score card 1136-by-640-pixels the main menu and scorecard are list view so it won't be hard to get it to work with both 3.5" and 4" screens on the game board the bar at the bottom of the mockup must be at the bottom because its actually swipe able and at the bottom is easiest for the thumb to switch back and forth from the scorecard on the scorecard the yellow bar on the right side is so you can see the progress of the falling blocks when you are not looking at the game board the blue bar on the scorecard and game board its a swipeable bar, so you use your thumb to flip back and forth from the gameboard, make it look like something you cold swipe ****UPDATE**** Its been pointed outthat 106x106 blocks work better can some of the blocks be removed and design behind the blocks too?
What to avoid
all final images should be in psdthe game board and score card should be 1136 x 640 pixels the game board should be at 640×960px and separate layers so I can easily separate
