Little Falls Village is looking for a dynamic Rack Card

The Village movement is comprised of innovative grassroots organizations (villages) across the country that are dedicated to helping seniors in their communities age comfortably and safely in their own homes. Little Falls Village is part of this national and local movement that includes 25 villages in Montgomery County, Maryland and 15 under development, and is a non-profit 501(c)3. Little Falls Village, similar to other Villages, also provides opportunities for seniors to expand their social networks, make friends, and maintain active lifestyles by attending social and educational events and clubs, and going on outings to museums, theaters, and more. Little Falls Village provides members with various resources, services, and local events in order to grow a network of support that fosters independent aging-in-place. Services are provided by trained and vetted volunteers. Our service area is characterized by the 19 distinct communities within our borders. The goal of this project is to create a rack card that will ultimately result in an increase in membership and volunteers, as well as improve our community presence. The target audiences are vital and active seniors who live in our service area (ages 60-85+, potential members) and community residents whose skill sets we can use to serve our members (ages 40-60+, potential volunteers). We are looking for a rack card design that is approximately proportionate to 3.5" x 8.5" (our expected print size). On the front of the rack card, we would like our logo and slogan (provided in a document below) and a word cloud of the names of the 19 civic communities we serve: Brookmont, Crestview, Ft. Sumner, Glen Cove, Glen Echo Heights, Glen Mar Park, Green Acres, Highpoint, the Kenwood, Mohican Hills, Springfield, Sumner, Sumner Village, Tulip Hill, Westgate, Westmoreland Hills, Westwood, Wood Acres, and Kenwood. Ideally, the word cloud will be clear, varied fonts/colors and neat, although we are open to suggestions. The rack card should have a clear color scheme, preferably including that of the Little Falls village logo. The front should also include a brief description of our organization and a list of the member benefits and community involvement (see rack card document for those lists). The back should include the different types of membership fees, volunteer position description, and our contact information (website link, email address, phone number, and address). The attached older rack card document has all the information needed for the writing on the rack card design (list of member benefits, list of LFV community involvement, types of memberships and their fees, LFV contact information, etc). We are open to changes in the wording but it is extremely important to not use ageist wording (ex: old people). Inspiration for other words and phrases to incorporate: - "services are member-defined and specific to the needs of our community" -"we aim to enrich social life and prevent isolation.." -"our goal is to build a greater sense of community and support independent living" Other inspiration may be drawn from the attached older trifold document, map of our service area or 2016 annual report. The map is not to be used on the rack card. It is simply available as a source of inspiration.
