Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We sell aftershave for men. The target audience are males ages 18-45.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
The Wandering Knight aftershave bottles need to depict our mascot, a knight in shining armor. Here is where designers can have fun and be interpretive. Is the knight on a steed, on foot, fully armored, getting a shave from his squire under a tree? That's all up to you. Is it more of a black and white sketch, or fully colored? We wan't to see what your imaginations come up with, and go from there. The only condition, right now, is that we have a knight and maybe a horse and/or squire. The text should read "The Wandering Knight's Post-Shave Elixir" And hopefully have some of our selling points on it. "Natural, Paraben Free, Phthalate Free, Cruelty Free". The bottles we are using are cobalt blue, with a shining silver bottle cap, if those colors influence your color choices in your illustrations. We are, for marketing purposes, hoping to have some green in the image. Maybe a green feather in the knight's helmet? Feel free to have a bit of a sense of humor about it. We imagine our knight being a bit ironic, like Pinaud's mascot. (We included an image of Pinaud in our application).
Here is a link to the label requirements and bottles these labels will be applied to. Please, just start with the visual of the knight along with the name of the product, and selling points for the label. We can discuss ingredient lists and so forth as we go on. Happy designing!
