This is an unusual book. It is not fiction. It spans nearly three decades in dealing with grief after the death of my daughter at age 13. It has multiple audiences; parents who have lost their children or others dealing with a profound loss, professionals such as psychologists, therapists, religious professionals, grief organizations, friends and families, and good people who really want to understand what to do and what not to do in helping others, as well as universities training students to do this work. It is a story of my spiritual enlightenment over those years and remarkable experiences that occurred throughout this time. It is also the story of a beautiful young soul known for her kindness and compassion who made quite a mark in her 13 years here.
