Iva has been great to work with! She responds well to feedback and get's the designs resubmitted quickly. I liked her style of design. Even after the contest was over she was patient with me while I had her make a few more changes. I will be using her in the future for help with more designs!
How Taylor PTA Webmaster started their web page design journey
Who are you known as?
Taylor Elementary PTA
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Taylor PTA is an association of parents, teachers and staff working together to support and enrich educational and social activities at Taylor.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
The Taylor PTA site is an information rich site. Therefore it's important to provide direct access to information 'above the fold'.
The school's colors are blue and orange, and the school mascot is a tiger.
The audience for our site is primarily parents. We'd like the site to clearly reflect our role in enhancing our children's educational and social activities. We'd like the theme to be family-friendly, welcoming, and fun.
We'd like a prominent graphic element along with several panels for information, similar to http://rfoneill.wix.com/taylorptanine. We'd like to have the following sections on the home page:
-What's Happening at Taylor;
-What's Happening in Our Community.
-Sign Up Form
We do NOT want a left nav.
We would like the top nav to include the following:
The external links currently in our left nav could be included in the footer.
Our school mascot is a tiger. We do not want full images of a tiger on the site. However, having paw prints in the background or used very subtly on the page would be okay.
