dan.caron got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Innovative Website Redesign for Political News Comparison
Check out dan.caron's Web page design contest…
Newscompare helps United States citizens compare the news from different political perspectives (liberal to conservative).
I am partnering with Tangle, a political newsletter. You can look at Tangle here: https://tangle.substack.com - There is a sample newsletter here: https://tangle.substack.com/p/trump-goes-on-a-pardoning-spree - I'm looking to COMBINE the existing Newscompare website with the Tangle editorial/newsletter content. This layout could take the form of a 2 column website where the Tangle daily newsletter is on the left and the Newscompare screenshots are on the right OR the Tangle daily newsletter in the hero section (either long-scrolling or Wall Street Journal style columns) and the Newscompare screenshots on the bottom of the page. I am looking for creative layouts that combine these two things: the Tangle newsletter (and past newsletters) and the Newscompare screenshots. Your designs will help people understand what's going on in American politics.
Homepage - A combination of Newscompare (the screenshots of the news outlets) and Tangle (the newsletter/editorial written content). I'm looking for the most clever way to combine these two things. Become a Member - We also need a sign up page where people can choose a dollar amount they would like to donate each month, along with their name, email and billing address. Something like this: https://join.theintercept.com/donate/now/?source=web_intercept_homepage-horizontal-nav
What to avoid
Generic, "basic" blog layouts.
Would also like an email opt-in section on the homepage where the visitor can enter their email address to get the Tangle newsletter. Something like the "Join our Newsletter" form on TheIntercept.com
