npgroup got their new web page design by running a design contest:
Layout for Comedy Website
Check out npgroup's Web page design contest…
We have rebuilt our comedy site and aren't completely pleased with the look. Help!
What's your vision?
Tagline: Always Fresh. Always Funny. Desired Color Scheme: Be creative. But keep in mind that we want to keep our logo. Desired Style: Web 2.0, smart, clean, fun and efficient. Accepted File Formats: psd We have redone www.dailycomedy.com. We love our logo. The rest is.. eh. I would like to see someone redesign our site using web 2.0. Here are some sites we like: www.veoh.com www.tmz.com www.rooftopcomedy.com The winner may be used to design the rest of our pages, as well. The elements on the homepage we have now are great. We do NOT want iframes or scrolling areas. We would like our video player to be a little larger. We like showing jokes on our homepage, but how about showing a list by title and making people click inwards to see the jokes content? Also, We would also like our categories to become: Videos | Jokes | Comedy Clubs | Comedy Store And with the ability to expand later. We like the menu system at Veoh.com and Digg.com a whole lot.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Web page design starts at €549.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
