-I'm not sure if I want to continue the dark theme. I may want to since my original logo is better suited to a dark background -My site should be themed with red, white and black colors, but I am open to a completely different look with completely different colors as well (photos must be taken from my site...I can provide you with the original photos for you to use as well for you to work with) -People say I should go with a light background...not sure -I want the design to emphasize a super-clean, modern, expensive, professional look...we want people to want to spend money on our services. We don't want to attract cheap people -http://osc4.template-help.com/wt_30035/index.html (I like the clean look of the site, but the text is too "friendly" and not rich and expensive looking) -http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/35707.html (I like how clean and professional this site looks, except the photos are too big to maintain the essential elements I demand on my website) -http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/36075.html (nice looking site, but we would use one of my photos of course) -http://www.elitedetailing.co.uk/ (this is a competitor, I like the site for it's cleanliness, but it's missing the basic elements I have described in my design brief above -http://cpdetailing.com...my original site that I like alot, but it's missing a lot of elements that I described in my design brief above -http://www.bentleymotors.com/ (super clean, super simple header, yet works so well) -http://www.pagani.com/huayra/default.aspx (I like the background colors...still pleasing to the eyes) -http://www.astonmartin.com/cars/one-77 (another super clean site that is so simple yet so elegant)
1. On all pages: I would like the following "essential elements" to be maintained on each page of the website: -large "call us now 201-575-0861" button on the top left column of the page (above the fold)...similar to where it is currently on the site -a "request a quote now" form with the same fields that's currently on the site...put this on the right column like where it currently is (above the fold) or to the left below the "call us now 201-575-0861" button -notice how my "articles" are all listed on the left column of the page...I like this because being that these pages are listed, people are most likely to read them. But, they may be taking up valuable real estate that could be used for photos or such. I'm not sure if we should keep this list of articles or not. The fact of the matter is, this list of articles is only going to get longer. I'd like the designer to recommend a new way of maintaining the visibility of the articles, but also condensing the space and preparing it for more articles in the future...maybe put a big button for "Detailing Articles You Should Read," or, "Important Information About Car Detailing." Maybe we should put all these articles under a tab within a dropdown navigation bar?? I'm open to different designs about this -navigation bar at the top of the page should maintain the current list of pages...but I am open to some break out of this navigation bar...maybe a navigation bar at the very top of the page, and one underneath the header?? That's where the designer's expertise comes in to play -tasteful integration of the add this social media buttons in a visible location above the fold -tasteful integration of my "custom lobby reviews" button in a visible location above the fold -all pages must have good seo...no image-based links...everything should be seo friendly, and html text based 2. Home Page -I feel like a scrolling photo gallery of some of my best work is important...maybe these photos with a nice caption would link to important articles within the site...this should be above the fold to capture the reader's attention 3. Content Pages -besides what's described in #1, these pages should have a scrolling gallery of some of my best work. I'd like to be able to have a general photo gallery for every content page on my site, with the option to change photos for specific pages. -review the pages listed on the /areas-served page....notice how they have a long list of all of the towns, zip codes, and counties that I service. I'd like to know how we can condense this information, but still have it as html text so that search engines can read it all. Maybe we can hide it and have a user be able to reveal the list. Such a function is demonstrated on the following site when you click on "click here to see where we ship": http://www.megadeckrigmats.com/rig-matting-in-your-area.php 4. Image Gallery Page: -simply put, I want a real image gallery I can use to showcase many of my photos...I have literally thousands of photos...not sure if I'm going to put all of them up, or just some of my best work. But something that looks great is key
-I want the site to look expensive and rich, yet clean, modern and professional -business professionals, doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs and wealthy car enthusiasts are who we service -target audience: 35-65 year old males -I have many photos available on flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cpcardetailing/
