What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the web page?
Everyone knows that website visitors scan and exit websites within 8 seconds now.
For that reason, we need a minimalistic, clean design that uses high quality images, graphics and readable text with a lot of white space to focus a visitor's attention while they scan.
We don't like overly designed web pages that are cluttered, use too much colour, too many illustrations and textures or text that is hard to read.
We are liking the idea of a mainly white web page that uses related shades on the grayscale - for text, icons, graphics - and then adds related shades of a single, vibrant colour to focus the visitor's attention on specific blocks of content.
The winning designer will then get a direct project to do 6 more sub-page templates.
Make sure you read each note in the wireframe. Some are red text on a content element and some are little blue notes which you need to click to show.
The grey areas in the wireframe indicate where we want the visitor's eye to focus and are not requirements to put grey boxes in those spots.
If you have questions about the wireframe or the notes in it, please send a direct message and I will answer them quickly.
What to avoid
We are not designers so we need your creativity and expertise to interpret our wireframe and notes.
The key thing is do not over design, over illustrate or use design techniques that are not optimized for web pages.
We want our website to be easy to scan and understand in 8 seconds and all the design elements to work on mobile, tablet and desktop screens.
For first submissions, we encourage each designer to submit multiple rough concept designs that follow our wireframe. We will then tell you which rough design are on the right track and you can refine them with our feedback to your final design submission.
