Games & Recreational
Group fantasy drafting for gaming tournaments. Audience are gamers, generally males aged 16 - 35.
Could really use a modern look and feel. Keep the logo and integrate it somehow, I like it as-is. Be sure that mobile UI is focused on as I expect most users to be on mobile. A user's home page with the list of drafts they've been in could use a real revamp. I don't know what else needs to be on this page really but it at least should look a lot better. When drafting, I have two different tabs users switch between to see who is left to pick from and who has been chosen already. I would like to have a view where both can be seen at once, other drafting apps use a modal that pops up with players chosen that I would have interest in potentially. I like having the site generally be dark since it is easier on the eyes. I also generally do like the dark grey/red/blue color scheme I have going on, but am open to a new color scheme as long as it is somewhat dark. Implementing dark blue with light blue is something I may have interest in seeing. I also do still like having the logo in the background while choosing who to pick, the UI I came up with for that I generally still like.
Landing page: A clear explanation of what fizzybrax is with a fresh UI. Options to log in or create an account. Some way of showing an example of how it looks to draft. Tell users it is completely free to use. I don't want it to be too much scrolling for users, landing pages that are super long are bad in my opinion. Logged-in user's homepage: A form for creating a new draft, and a list of drafts that the user has participated in or created. Functionally I'm fine with the page as-is but it needs to look nice and modern. Draft page: Provide page for the host to setup the draft by having an input for typing in the tournament url and then selecting the event from the list that shows up. I suggest creating a draft of your own within fizzybrax to see how it works. An example tournament to draft from can be found by typing in 'olympus' into the input for smash.gg. Provide the UI for how it looks like for accepting invites/requesting to join, adding your own drafters, and then how it looks to actually draft. Finally show how it looks once someone has won (you can reach this screen by clicking 'Update Results' once the draft has finished).
What to avoid
I suggest not having anything happen on hover since this won't work on mobile.
I realize the draft page has a lot going on but the UI is already there to work off of, if you feel like this requires paying for more than 1 page of effort let me know and I can work with you.
