Text-based MMORPG Platform Needs Facelift

I'm a full-stack developer and sole creator of WebMUD. It's a text-based MMORPG platform that is already built and functional and just needs some redesign work. I'm targeting RPG gamers in the medieval fantasy genre.

At the core it's still a text-based MUD so scrolling text on a black background will always be a thing. I've added some tools and features so it's more of a client experience than just a console with scrolling text - lots of icons for various features on the client that can use rework. It's got a first-class AI feature that reduces much of the grind. Navigation needs some work. I'd like it to be responsive so play on tablet and phone is possible. This is a platform so it's kind of generic and not really branded for any specific content, but that may come later.

It's text-based MMORPG, "the og MMORPG" played over ancient modems before graphics and broadband were a thing. There's definitely an element of nostalgia older folks will find familiar and comforting but it needs to not turn away younger folks. Could have multiple "themes" to suit different tastes?
